Reston Audi News: 2011 TT offers big bang for the buck
The Beijing Motor Show has auto makers pulling out all the stops and Audi has big plans for its own reveal – the A8 L. This new Audi model is enough to make a true car lover drool. With its 6.3-liter W12 engine and long wheelbase the A8 L is impressive enough. Add to that the space in the rear seat and you have yourself quite a little (or not so little) car!
Reston Audi customers will be lining up to check out this model when it hits the showroom. The first thing you will want to do is climb into the spacious, luxurious back seat and sink into the leather seat. And this is not just any leather seat. Or should I say seats? Two heated power seats which move any way you can think of while air-bladders massage via remote at your whim will have you wanting to hire a chauffeur.
The front passenger seat is fit for a king with a power adjustable folding ottoman. Talk about all the comforts of home. Automatic climate control with four zones and 25 adjustable motors will keep even the most finicky passenger at optimal comfort level. Ambient lights and a Band & Olufsen Advanced Sound System with 19 speakers will set the mood for any occasion. Want more upbeat entertainment? Watch a movie on one of two 10.2-inch LCD screens.
Everyone at the Reston Audi dealership is impressed with the W12 engine and its 500 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque handled with Audi's new eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine will inspire all kinds of fantasies when buyers realize it runs zero to 60 in 4.9 seconds and that the top speed of 155 mph is electrically-limited. Yes, they're putting the kibosh on us at 155. Anything under that is apparently fair game. Although, we have to consider that this engine with its power and excessive speed may have been designed for the German Autobahn.
When you visit you Reston Audi dealership, be sure check on the status of this dreamy new ride. Pricing may even be announced by later this month. This will be a tough one to wait out. It's rare that such a beautiful combination of comfort, luxury, speed and power can be found in a car with a rear seat.
You may even have to take a number when this beauty arrives at Reston Audi. All of us who have been reading about the A8 L will be lined up to caress the leather and hear the W12 purr and growl. What a sweet sound that will be.
