How wrong the dealer?

Recently, I rented a new 2009 Audi A4, I have no history credit, but I made the case anyway. Day after they ask me to fax my phone bill with my current address qc verify my identity, so I did and I try to contact them to see how the status of my lease. My questions are: when they left the u car drive away, that means I am approved by the dealer? or the bank? who owns the car today, the broker or bank? How do I know which bank owns the car? If the car is not the seller, Why am I bothered to contact or speak to them? Because I am worried about the person who does the financing in the garage never come back to me
