I am looking to geta new car. looking at g35, 325i, and audi a4 hopefully 3.2 quatro s-line.

well I am to be going to be getting a car this thursday hopefully and i have a few questions about what the users here have to say. so i am looking at 325i the infiniti g35 which i am torn about coupe or sedan b/c i saw the sedan had a better 0-60 (less wheel spin?) and audi a4 thinking 3.2 quattro but heard is is not as much fun b/c it does no have the same torque as the 2.0t. So I am kinda concered about german cars since i am 18 and if it brakes after the warranty is up it will not be good for me (looking to buy 2006) so i was wondering to they brake like alot or what? not sure what true cost of ownership of a bmw is after the 4 year coverage is up and i start doing all that shit myself. infiniti i am looking at as a nice japanese car that in theory should be easier to mantain and should have less problems. So this is where i stand as of now. used to be looking at rx8 but heard bad things about them and hard to aftermarket.

to actually answer your question. the G35 would be your best bet as far as relieability goes, and there is lot of aftermarket support BUT if you were to get the german cars on your list under warranty, i would say go for it, since the cost to maintain german cars is a bit expensive if there isn't a warranty.

If the case is that you are looking for a car for 4 years UNDER warranty i say I would go for either of the germans considering cost is not an issue, the quattro in the audi is amazingly safe BUT is not reliable at all, and i tell you that from experience, as far as the BMW goes, with a 325i its a great handling car, BUT its really small and again german cars are usually prone to electrical problems. All in all though, I feel that the g35 is your best bet, its got great power, handles well, and looks great, and is super reliable, and another good thing is infiniti/Nissan techs are usually not asses and are usually accomadating.

And in response to those 2 guys praising american engineering, first of all he never asked about american cars, has asked about BMW, Infiniti and Audi specifically. As far as a used camaro goes, it sounds like this guy wants something reliable, and decently fuel friendly according to his list, not something that gets 10mpg, and is made from parts that will break, at least american parts will be cheap, last i remember the new 2010 camaro is built on a Vauxhall VX-R Frame (Austrailian) and as far as the for mustang goes, its probably the only sports car thats still built with a live rear axle. Having driven some great american sports cars (Corvette, Sky), I am not knocking american engineering, but lets be realistic guys, the last generation Camaro was discontinued because of poor sales, and was ugly as sin, and as much as i love the mustang, it handles like crap once it sees uneven/gravely roads.
