What a pilot wearing the poor quality as on a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T manual trani?
I recently had a mechanic friend change my clutch because I received a short metal grating in the range of low speed of the first and second gear. The his was not the case all the time and does not seem to cause any problems with the car, but I thought it would be a good idea to change the clutch because I had 115,000 miles on the car. When we arrived at my mechanic on pilot realized he had not a certain special tool to get the old driver on. He did not think he made a big deal, but anyway one of my friends said that is a good chance the pilot bearing is the sound. Is there a chance of landing the pilot makes the sound and I need to take the clutch again to get support? Y there other things I can do to diagnose the problem?
It seems that this could be very possible ... You'll hear a clicking / grinding Acute or squealing / grinding to a halt, when the engine is idling, the transmission is operating, the clutch pedal on the floor ... a good way say is whether the noise stops when you put in neutral ... Unfortunately, you can not really diagnose the problem as a bad driver bearing without taking the clutch out too, if you have a hard time going into the first and reverse ... is also a symptom
