How do you overide the gears in DSG VW/Seat/Audi for driving in snow ?
Ok, I have a Seat Leon Auto DSG Sport model but can't figure out how to select a high gear for driving conditions such as in snow... I have driven other automatic cars and they all seam to be able to select a high gear to be able to start off in such as 4 3 2 1. But my car won't let me change to a higher gear even in manual mode ... any help appreciated !!
You cannot do that with a DSG box other than fooling it into thinking it is going faster than it is by deliberately spinning the wheels up in first gear and getting it to change to 2nd.
I totally agree with Andy C about people who know nowt trying to answer stuff on here - particularly the yanks who cant seem to work out that there is a way to filter out questions that are not from their own country
