Audi Maintenance Warranty
Does anyone have a car warranty with Warranty Direct? If so, how does it work and do you like it?

i am looking to buy a used audi a4 but am scared of the maintenance costs, so i want to put it under warranty. Warranty Direct offers warranty on used cars but i just wanted to see what other people thought about it.

We have done business with them many times in the past and for the most part they are okay but just like with any warranty company they try and low-ball the labor rates or try and tell us what really needs to be replaced and they’re just the paper pushers that have no idea what’s going on.

Sometimes they do not allow all needed parts to be replaced or the needed labor, for example if a A/C compressors locks up they will not allow the extra needed time to flush out the complete system which requires the disconnecting of most of the system and they question why the accumulator and expansion tube need to be replaced, I wont even go into how long it take to explain the needed parts for a dual A/C system when the compressor locks up…

In these cases after explaining this to the customer they will have to pay theses additional fees that are needed but all that I can tell you that you “NEED” to read the fine print and ask a lot of question and whatever is said get it in writing and get the persons name that you spoke with.

They are sometimes slow in paying us for the work even after we have received the authorization number and if they don’t pay within 60 days I explain to the customer that they will need to take care of the bill and on the fine print of a lot of these types of warranties if you miss any of the required maintenance they will not allow work to be done on the vehicle if a related component fails.

This is just us and you can find many shops that will only replace what they say is needed and not costing you anything else but remember that the job will not be completely done correct and always get the shops warranty in writing as well.

Overall I would give them a rating of 7 on a scale of 1 through 10 that’s with 10 being the highest.
