buying car through eBay?

Im looking to buy a car now, and i've found quite a few good deals. Actually very good, with car from 2005 and 70 K for only 5000 and they are mostly audi,, bmw, etc. However when i contact the seller they all sell that the car is shipped to you, and and they want the transaction done through eBay vehicle protection program. The seller asks for the name and sais that he'll set up the account and everything. I was wondering is that safe way of getting a car, or is there something fishy about that. The deal seems to good to be true, and there is no way to actually see or test the car before.

Why would anybody buy a car that they can't see, can't drive, and can't inspect from someone they don't know and can't talk with, and who wants money sent to some 3rd party and who will "ship" them the car???????????????
