Smell inside car like dog poo.?

Recently had a new cat fitted to my Audi A6 4.2 V8. It has a whistling noise ever since. Nothing reported on the computer and all oxygene sensors working fine. Since then every now and then i get a smell like dog poo or even cat poo in the car its there for a minute or so then goes. Carpets are clear as are feet. So doubt its this and doubt that its this many times. Could this smell possibly be a by product of a faulty cat???

My 2nd thoughts relate to the air con so have some air con cleaner and disinfectant to hand to try this later.

I would HATE the smell of dodo in my ride!..

In light of the information you gave, the smell better not be caused by the 'cat' that you just got fitted because if it is, somebody did something seriously wrong! You can have them check it out to ensure that it's not faulty but more than likely it's not the source of the smell...

But,

Dude, not trying to sound facetious, when in the world was the last time you changed the a/c cabin filter in your car?.. If you have not done so lately (or ever), take your ride to the dealership and have them change it and blow out your system. If that does not do the trick, you may have some other problem that the Audi technicians are going to have to troubleshoot. Hopefully you don't have any rodent issues, yikes!..

Anyways, if you haven't, it might also be a good idea to get a second opinion on that smell. You smell poop, but someone else might smell something different which can possibly help you troubleshoot better!..
