VAG-COM short to ground codes?
I have 2003 audi a4 1.8t and thats what I got after using vag-com
-evap purge valve(n80): short to ground
-secondary air injection solenoid valve(n112): short to ground
-secondary air pump relay(j299): short to ground
-boost pressure regulation valve(n75: short to ground
-camshaft timing adjustment: short to ground
-evap leak detection pump: short circuit to ground
-boost pressure control valve: short to ground
-control fan control 1: short to ground
-fuel injector for cylinder 1(n30): short to ground
-fuel injector for cylinder 2(n31): short to ground
-fuel injector for cylinder 3(n32): short to ground
-fuel injector for cylinder 4(n33): short to ground
Also I have generic codes which show cylinder 2 and for misfire and a knock sensor(g61)
I put new spark plugs,coils,injectors. Still no change.
Can anybody tell me what these codes mean and what do I have to replace or repair?
With that many codes, you have something else wrong instead of what the codes are telling you. In other words, the codes are not really correct.
Short-to-ground means that a positive voltage is short circuited (to ground). That is what it looks like to the diagnostics, but not necessarily what is wrong.
Possibly a single short is causing all of these codes.
It's not in my nature to do this kind of thing but really, I would say save yourself some money and have a professional look at the car.
